"We stumbled over rapps cafe while we were on a family trip to saltburn. the staff was very friendly and helpful, and eating was amazing. my daughter described her pasta as the best she had could not be better! also our eating was excellent and the desserts were amazing! good coffee to finish. good value and a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere. highly recommended!"

"The service here is excellent. Have been here a few times and always had a good meal. Garlic bread starter was average. Parmo and risotto were not good. Risotto was more like rice pudding. It may just be a one off as we normally get good food here."

"Just been out for my first meal post lockdown at Bengal Spice and thought I’d share my experience, for those who are abit wary of going out. These guys are a great example to others, automated sanitiser on arrival (no touch required), markings all over for social distancing, seating was great and well spread out (utilising the space they have). All staff were wearing protective visors and protective screens are placed between all tables, which are wiped immediately after customers leave. The social distancing rules and standards were impeccable, I couldn’t pick a fault with anything they’ve done to protect us all. The food was at its same very high standards that I always enjoy, by far the best Indian in Redcar and surrounding areas for me. Take a visit if you can, this place did a lot for our carer’s during the pandemic and it’s now our turn to help them out during these testing times for the whole hospitality industry."

"Ordered 2 grilled cheese on arrival as the menu was super small and some items not available. Grilled cheese was the worst. Used completely wrong type of cheese (mature cheddar) and half wasn’t even melted. Told the staff when I was getting the bill but...they didn’t seem interested. Another Instagram cafe. Looks good on the pics but in reality it’s garbage."

"What a find! Had the goats cheese salad and can honestly say it's the nicest I've ever had! Husband said the pulled pork loaded fries were top notch too. Will definitely be returning here to try the rest of the menu if these were anything to go by!"
