"Went in on a recommendation and heard the food was fab. I’m not the kind of person to slate a restaurant but on this occasion I feel it is necessary. Weather it is just for my piece of mind or for the owners to read an improve upon, as I believe this place has a lot of room for potentially being really good. They seem more interested in firing takeout out the kitchen that’s catering for people sat in the restaurant. Again, let me make the point we were the only people in the whole restaurant except for staff and the delivery guy. Out drink ordered were being taken as we were being seated by a very eager waitress, we hadn’t even had chance to look at a drinks menu or sit in our seat. The whole time we were here the poor lady on front of house didn’t seem to know if she was coming or going. All we could hear was people literally full on screaming at each other from the kitchen and were just watching people storm in and out the kitchen, there was a kid sat in the restaurant with the contents of his school bag spread across the table and we definitely were less important in there as paying customers than the kids friend who had lost/had his bike stolen. Further the music made me feel like I was at a rave rather than a restaurant. Beer tasted like it had been in the line for god knows how long and was ridiculously bubbly suggesting they had over carbonated it to disguise the fact it was old. The food came to the table in dribs and drabs, which was cold and we were still the only people in there. I ordered the aromatic crispy duck and pancakes... no cucumber, spring onions or pecking duck sauce came to the table and by that point I was ready to leave so asked for the bill and asked if I could have my sauce and cucumber etc to take home, even though I was exited to eat my meal out. Got home and still no sauce in the bag. So I was super gutted about that. Overall the food was okay but the service and lack of organisation between staff was appalling. I was told that next time I come in I will get a free pecking duck sauce but I’m afraid there will not be a next time."
