"Great cafe, had south indian breakfast. Woah perfect, loved the masala dosa and idli combo with fresh fruits , coffee, juice and the sambar and chutney was just superb. The interiors were so relaxing, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Loved the place."

"Darjeeling cafe is rightly placed at the top of all rankings for the best food places in Varkala. It should also very well be the topmost place to chill and relax, have great conversations, watch the beautiful sunset or to just stare into the far horizon... While you are busy doing these things, be rest assured to be served some kickass food and mind blowing cocktails where the liquor content is graciously high! <unlike most places> It is the kind of place you keep coming back to... "Visited here for brunch and dinner. Very close to the beach access point. During brunch Chicken wasn’t available so I ordered a fish. The service was very good as both the waiter who interacted with us were very friendly and went to and fro a number of times to check on availability of Buddha Bowls, chicken steak, both of which weren’t available during brunch. My vegetarian wife had a vegetarian sizzler. My fish wasn’t hot and the taste was alright. We ordered the food without rice or fries. Later during the dinner, we again went here since it we walked a lot on the beach and this was closer compared to other famous restaurants. They had live music. We had sort of a candle light dinner. Wife ordered a Veg Thukpa and me a chicken steak and pineapple juice. Wife got a chicken thukpa instead of veg so we returned it and got it exchanged at no worry. I too had asked no mashed potatoes but still got it. The place was full so the chef must have been under pressure. We still liked the ambiance and loved the food. The order time though took a while. During brunch we waited an hour and during dinner as well. A little more maybe due to the wrong order."

"Very nice café for an afternoon. Looks good, and above all, the food tastes good. We had clogged Tofu on Aloo Paratha, and a Punjabi Buddha scarf that were both really nice. Only the problem of the Scrambled Tofu dish on the menu (under 'vegan dishes' contain yogurt that 't vegan. So our smashed Tofu was a mix of two dishes. Think you need to change the menu to fix it, but otherwise deffo recommend this place. Looks like they have a vegan desert. Just confirm everything with the staff!"
In pleasant weather you can even eat in the outdoor area.
