"My wife and I had the pleasure to eat with a German professor at the coburg university in this beautiful and historical restaurant called restaurant golden crosses (medium sea, golden cross). we have learned that this is one of the best in Germany. the restaurant founded in 1508 is the oldest building in the inner city of coburg. it serves the authentic taste of the regional Franconian cuisine. “Traditional. modern. Franconian” is his motto. the dishes we had were one of the best Franconian cuisine we ever tasted. the dessert “Home-made coburg Dumpling” was delicious and unique. if they ever get a chance to eat there, they will enjoy for certain their historical atmosphere of Franconian tradition. "We waited one hour just for appetizers, that’s what we ordered because we are almost all vegetarian, the place wasn’t even packed and they could even mess up bread, I mean Bread ! it was tasting like a burning pan! The rice was bad as well, fish also. We are just out of the restaurant now and all of us feel weird in our lower belly, avoid this restaurant if you don’t want to spend your later evening in the bathroom"

"Das Essen ist durch die Bank zu empfehlen. Pizzen groß, da wird jeder satt. Montags Sonderkarte & Sonderpreise.Leider hapert es mit der Freundlichkeit der Bedienungen, das schwankt von Tag zu Tag und von Person zu Person sehr, auch die Zuverlässigkeit (was vergessen usw.). Auch sollte man Wartezeit einplanen, selbst wenn das Haus nur zur Hälfte voll ist.Der Biergarten an sich gehört mit zu den schöneren in Coburg, wäre da nicht der manchmal etwas müffelnde Teich, aber da arbeitet man offenbar dran. Austeichend Parkmöglichkeiten vorhanden, und auch ein Spielplatz für die Kinder."
