"I was surprised that I had missed seeing Latin American Flavor during my regular drives into town on Pulaski Highway. Something told me to check Google maps today and I saw I had been missing this restaurant right on a prominent street corner. The focus on Honduran food with a Mexican flare was most welcome. Street parking was available late morning. I got started with chips and fresh homemade salso and a tamarind drink. The huevos rancheros was a nicely arranged plate of eggs, salsa, cheese, refried beans, and avocado with two thick and tasty tortillas. I had my favorite, a pupusa, on the side with tangy cabbage slaw. Service was well organized. Looking forward to another visit as this restaurant is so convenient."

"My dinner was delicious but my wife had the Prime Rib and said it was cold. Plus, it took forever to get our food. Wonder if the kitchen was backed up. We arrived early for our reservation and were told our table would be ready but I think they forgot about us because our friends showed up and the hostess said we had already been seated.Not sure if I will go back. Too many hiccups. I put Yes that I would recommend but with reservations"

"I visit from DC once a month and my goal is to try an mom and pop restaurant particularly Black owned.This month my treat was Caribbean and heard that this place was fantastic . The service was excellent and the portions although packed in a single package on top of each other (rice n peas at bottom- cabbage topped the rice and peas then the one big pc of jerk chicken topped it off- samegoes for the oxtails in another one package container) was plentiful.I drove back home 45 minutes away and was savoring the taste of my new spot I heard rave reviews on.Food-oxtails NO flavor! Tender yet No saltpepper nothing!Jerk chicken was not jerk chicken more like country fried chicken with a little pinch of Spice and bland!Cabbage soggy!Rice n peas soggy! No flavor!Mac n cheese ticked me off the most bc I only treat myself toIt literally once a month-no freaking flavor!!!! Just boiled noodles with a pinch of cheese.I’m think this place is a SoulFood place trying to serve Caribbean dishes that are NOT Caribbean dishes. Maybe it’s bc I’m use to REAL Caribbean dishes being as it may.I should have know when I saw food that was prepared buffet styleNot covered I should have left. But, I wanted to support blk own business.What ever happened to the Pride of preparing food and keeping up a business? Honestly this is the 4th blk own business (food) I’ve visited in bmore and I have not been happy with the taste/preparation of the food. I won’t eat in bmore again. This place just put the stamp on it."

"Food was pretty good! I really loved the short rib tacos and the Brussels sprouts are soool good. The person who was running food and taking our orders was awesome but whoever was bartending last night was not. She barely came to our table, had no idea who ordered what so when it came time for the checks, I had to sit there and write it out for her (even though I mentioned multiple times who was on what), and anytime I asked her for anything it seemed like I was inconveniencing her. Not sure if it’s a lack of communication between the two of them but it really wasn’t that busy and she could have easily taken two minutes to ask who got what instead of just handing me the check and looking dumbfounded when I said it wasn’t all on one. Service here is usually hit or miss."
