"Bhatkal is a small town in UK District of Karnataka. It is on National Highway 66, which runs between Mumbai and Kanyakumari, and has one of the major railway stations along the Konkan Railway line. Bhatkal gets its name from the Jain Grammarian, Bhattakalanka, who hailed from here. With Sharavathi river flowing a few miles to the north, the town is located along the shores of the Arabian Sea. The town has a rich history. The Portuguese marked their presence in Bhatkal in the beginning of the 16th century. Then it was passed on to Hyder Ali then to Tipu Sultan till late 17th Century. Tipu Sultan made Bhatkal an important port and built a Mosque and a street named after him. One of Tipu's wives was from Bhatkal. Bhatkal later came into the hands of the British Empire in 1799 after his death, who died in a battle against the British. The Hotel Srinivas Deluxe is right on main road, adjacent to the junction of Port Road. It is a no frills hotel but some what nicely maintained. It is a Pure Veg hotel and serve an array of south and north indian cuisine. People are nice and helpful. Staff are attentive including the management. Portions are sufficient and the prices are very affordable. It is not a place for you if you are looking at luxuries. But you cab definitely have a hearty meal and refreshments to your satisfaction. We definitely did !"

"From Ambience to Food, they definitely nailed it in terms of providing an exemplary restaurant experience in Bhatkal. I love their royal ambience and the majlis seating area. In food, I really enjoyed everything and really recommend their Mutton Mandi which has a very authentic arabic taste. Service was lacking in our visit, everything was too slow but food was really delicious."

"Went with my cousin to this restaurant. Foods options are good. I was surprised to see the mocktails menu. We did try them and it was good. We ordered paneer saute and it was very delicious. Must try them. One star less because the Veg Biryani was not good. Service is also good."

"One of the famous family restaurant in Bhatkal. We used to have special students meal for 5Rs during our school and college days, it's a great job by management. It's located in front of the KSRTC bus stand, this restaurant attract most of the tourist, travellers and local people. Food quality is very good, service also is good. You can get table service here."
