"Had problems with just eat. Shocking these days that to order food you have to go through an app but it is what it is. Sad times. Had problems. Order cancelled twice by system. Tried third time. Went through. In the 3rd time I actually added more food on so they would have made more money from me. Called the take away to be greeted by someone who couldn't be bothered to find out facts, and said we've cancelled your order. I tried to say well that's why I'm calling, coz evidently I want the food. No interest in helping. When I asked for the manager they slammed the phone down. Called back to get a rude, pedantic man. When I asked for the manager he said there wasn't one. How can you run a business when no one is in charge. Says it all really. Hence the appalling service. He talked and shouted over the top of me, I kept saying can you hear me over and over because there was that much noise in the background I wasn't sure whether he was just being awkward or genuinely couldn't hear. He still kept shouting over the top of me so couldn't be bothered to find out his facts. I tried to tell them there was a problem with the justeatapp, in case there was more than just me. He had no interest, says its all my fault, it's just me. He just wouldn't listen. How to ruin a business. It resulted in me insulting him with a name and swearing. I couldn't help myself. Jumped up little man. I used to order from you quite a bit. Not any more. I'll go elsewhere and make sure I pass word round although from the reviews I'd say it won't matter. Your food isn't the best. The only reason I ordered from you is because you want the lowest spend on the app. Shocking. Disgusting. Obviously thinks he doesn't need the business. Next time I won't call up to discuss if there is a problem with another restaurant. I'll just let it be problematic and escalate. Ruined my evening."

"Very disappointing. Took ages to be seated and the restaurant was cold, we were given a table right next to the service station so there were servers coming and going all the time. Asked what the Kansas caviar was and the waitress didn't know, which is something that you would expect them to, or for an explanation to be on the menu. The food was good but not spectacular and over priced. More interested in bums on seats than customer comfort that table should not be there. Also saw servers decanting mayo and other sauces into the same bottles. Can understand some sauces but mayo?? How old is that mix??? Sure other people enjoyed themselves but I personally wouldn't go there again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1"

"For the second time in two weeks we attempted to have drinks/a snack here only to walk away having been made to feel unwelcome we had been hoping the first time was just a one-off/unfortunate . We popped in just before 12 yesterday before doing a shop at the wonderful farm shop. We have frequented the cafe in and off for about 5 years. As with our previous experience we were met eventually with 'have you booked? '. As with many other reviews here, the tables were largely free with just 2/3 reserved signs on. We assured the rather suspicious looking girl at the entrance that we just wanted a quick drink and snack/light lunch. 'We can only give you about half an hour '. 'That 's fine we 'll order quickly, no problem '. This clearly didn 't go down well as we then met with another obstacle, 'We don 't start working on lunch orders for another ten minutes '. Seriously? You have empty tables and a couple wanting a quick snack and you still couldn 't put an order through quickly for the benefit of both parties? We walked away as by this point were feeling very unwelcome. This is a cafe not a fine-dining restaurant. You will have lots of walk-ins from people shopping next door should you choose to change your processes and/or customer service to accommodate them. Absolutely bonkers. I 've been to far more upmarket/busy restaurants who have bent over backwards to fit us in, and if not been very apologetic and encouraged us to come back. This place puts you on the 'naughty step ' for not booking, sucks it 's cheeks in to see if they can be bothered fitting you in, and then throws a final spanner in the works 'cant start your order yet ' as a final test of your stamina. Well Cheerbrook cafe, we 've finally got the message, you don 't want our custom any more and we won 't be coming back. Farm shop? Brilliant. But if they are separate businesses I 'd be worried about the cafe negatively impacting on the reputation of the shop."
