"It was a rainy evening and we believed after a good cup of tea. So we went to a place called food villa that served 'kullarh wali chai ', for those who did not initiate in this concept, it means tee served in earth cup. it has happened so that this place has also changed to the tee bag tee and that is what many of us so detest. gruendly we went to a rustic old place called mahamaya restaurant. we were greeted by an old man at the counter with a warm smile. served us tee, nap, rasgulla and a double omelette. the tee was just puuurrfect! we ordered another round. the restaurant had minimalist furniture, but was very clean and clean. very satisfied with the perfect finished tee and also in such a relaxed atmosphere. we left the place with again a warm smile from the older person. he said the restaurant is almost 99 years old. what a shame! place like this, if it had been mumbai, it would have been converted into the likes of leopold or cafe mondegar!"

"This place may be inspired by shillong cafe..nicely done interiors and spacious. Food was good .and their coffee is strong and good. Staff are nice and courteous.always smilinG. Its a new and trendy place and hope they keep the smile alive. And yes...their have a pool board .and Its free. So even if they take some time to serve..I am not complaining. Overall a must visit."

"This is not a typical restaurant or a cafe but a cross between the two: there is a very informal ambience here. but with fish on the menu and ornamental fish in their aquariums, I had no complaints. the cost of the items on the dish are easy on the pocket and they have a range of fish delicacies..baked, grilled and in sandwiches and burgers..I would be going back the next time I am in Guwahati"

"I went there after reading the reviews and seeing the rating of 4. The place did not disappoint me.All the liquor brands were available. The place was teeming with teenagers. Go to the top floor they have a live bank up there. The floor below does not have the live band but you dish out 20 per cent less.Taste for snacks was average but the ambient and music was charging. Place is open till 12 midnight.The rates for the drinks and snacks is very competitive. I have deducted 1 point in the rating because they are charging 20 per cent as adhoc charge for entertainment on Friday through Sunday for the live entertainment.Worth a second visit."
