"Nyala deserves to be packed out every night; but it is really good to be able to just rock up with some wine and have a great meal. If there are three, or more, people I would recommend the mixed entrees/dips, the meat combo and the vegetarian combo. If you only have two then go for the mixed entrees/dips and the two meat/two veg platter. It gives you a great combination of flavours. We eat here often and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is great, the waiters terrific, the food always good and the prices very reasonable. If they have the music on Saturday it is well worth the extra $2 as well. If you ring them and give them a heads up you can have gluten free Injera as well. What I really like is the food is spiced for taste, rather than heat, but they do have dishes that can blow away your tastebuds if you want to. The waiter will be happy to guide you."

"This is a very basic cafe/restaurant where somali men gather for a quiet talk about a meal or coffee. it is open 7 days in the week from 8 o'clock to late, so it is one of the few places that are open on Sunday morning. there is no...Menu and they tell them what is available. at my visit there were three dishes: grilled lambskin, spicy rice and camels. I asked for lamb and rice and got two large plates (4 very big lambskins, but they were kept warm for a while and were a little damped). I asked for black coffee and it was delicious, but had added milk. But it was just $18, so it was pretty cheap."

"Fantastic night on the 23 of Dec 2020 thanks to the so welcoming and smiling Jonathan and the beautiful food. We were there a group of 7 to celebrate my son's birthday (one of his favourite restaurant) For a lot of us it was our...first time experience with Ethiopian food so they choose the chef's platter..Soooo delicious ...The meat was so tender the flavours were new and delicate.We will be back for sure And please Jonathan don't change you are terrific..And By the way Happy New year 2021 Fantastic night on the 23 of Dec 2020 thanks to the so welcoming and smiling Jonathan and the beautiful food.
