"We were ambling around this weird and wonderful city and had just ventured off the Reeperbahn area when we fell onto this street,DAVIDSTRASSE that had a few interesting pub's and bar's on. We went into this real local's pub and the pub was surprisingly busy,staff...were super nice,making us very welcome,as were the locals in this pub,one in particular who spoke perfect English and who had been to our home town of Liverpool as a student. We settled for bottle's of ASTRA BEER,famous in Hamburg and particularly in the ST PAULI area . The beer was fabulous, we knew it would be as we had been on it all week practically. The decor was nothing special but the atmosphere in here more than compensated for that,we had a great hour or so in here. If you want to try more of the local nightlife then come off the REEPERBAHN and cut down onto DAVIDSTRASSE, you'll find it very interesting and different in this part of town, just superb and well worth a visit."
