"Took over 45 minutes to get our food. Omelette was good, breakfast sandwich was just ok. My daughter ordered a Belgium waffle and it was extremely over cooked, to the point my daughter (teenager) could not eat it. I let the waitress know and she apologized, and agreed, and then said it doesn’t even look like you could even eat that. What bothered me was she did not offer to switch out the meal or even take it off our check. I could have pushed the issue (since she left her entire meal), but we had a plane to catch and it wasn’t worth the time to to ask to talk to the manager. As mentioned, the service was extremely slow and other tables were having issues getting their food too. I am surprised because the restaurant is inside the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, which was sold out for University of Tennessee parents weekend, but the restaurant was only half full. I would think they would’ve been staffed better considering the hotel was sold out. I can’t imagine what it would’ve been like if the restaurant was full. It is convenient because it’s in the hotel but if you have the time I would recommend going somewhere else. There are lots of good restaurants around."

"My husband and I had a great experience here for our Christmas Eve dinner. For appetizers, We had the rattlesnake sausage and the oysters with jalapeño. Both were tasty! The ambiance was excellent. It was classy, festive, and not too loud at all."

"I don't know what a person with gluten intolerance did to the Barley's cooks in the past, but it had to have been bad based on the treatment on my gluten free pizza. Look, I get it, gluten free pizza is not going to be as good as wheaty delicious pizza... but eating it should not make you hate yourself. If frozen pizza from a Kroger is better you are doing something wrong."
