"My wife and I ordered Chicken Pot Pie. wW would rate the pie as a 5 out of 10 compared to chicken pot pie we have had elsewhere. Our waitress must have been having a bad day as she did not seem to be enjoying her job. Her lack of enthusiasm was very evident."

"My husband and I recently had dinner here after a 3 or 4 year absence and were surprised by the changes. While the place is still a little low on ambiance, it looks better with the new paint and ceiling work, lovely handmade wall hangings and vases on the tables. The next thing they can work on is the washroom. The restaurant is small, with about 8 tables and is adjoined to a convenience store. It would help if the owner put up a beaded curtain on the doorway that leads into the convenience store so that customers don't have to see the general clutter of the store. It wouldn't hurt to hang some pictures of their former homeland on the wall and to play traditional music, maybe hang some colored string lights in the windows, bring in some plants. The menu has expanded and offers good choices. The staff are still very friendly and work their tails off, but service was slow that night. We were the only customers and waited 30 minutes to get our appetizers. They were busy working on a large take out order and were receiving calls for more take out orders in between. I received my rice first and by the time I got my order of chicken (which my server forgot about), my rice was cold. We were told that one plate of rice would not suffice for both of us and were encouraged to order two plates of rice. The plates were huge, enough for 2-3 people. We should have known by their price ($11.99 for rice with vegetables). The food is still very authentic and homemade (the samosas are fabulous, the Biryani rice is delicious), although not as great overall as we remember from our first visit. We were both wowed by it back then and raved about it to all our friends. I recall the Chicken Vindaloo tasting better (or different, at least), but perhaps that's because they had to rush to make it. The Naaan bread does not bear a resemblance to any Naan we've had here before, or like any Naan anywhere else. We know that there are different types of Naan and that's fine, but this one was tasteless and I couldn't finish it. My daal Makhini was flavourful and very rustic. We want to go back to this restaurant again to try their buffet. Perhaps it was just a bad night or perhaps I have been to too many other Indian restaurants. I realize that no two Vindaloos or Tikka Masalas will taste the same in any given restaurant, so maybe it comes down to a preference of taste. Or maybe they have different cooks who have their own and slightly different recipes. I would still recommend it to others and see what they think because we've been there three times and this was our first slightly disappointing experience. This restaurant is still better with more authentic tasting and healthier food than any chain."

"Some of the best pancakes we had. we went in there, as this is the nearby breakfast place we saw from our motel and we are happy that we did. there was a line, but we didn't have to wait too long. friendly service, price is amazingly affordable given the amount of food. small place so tightly sitting, but people obviously have nothing to do with waiting. I would, fortunately, wait again."
