"Came here to meet friends on Boxing Day with my children was told that we couldn't use the pub with children, but could use the little snug which could barely fit 3 people in. Went into the bar was surprised it was like a kennel with the amount of dogs in there, of which I haven't a problem with, being a dog owner, but asked the landlord he said he didn't have a licence for children being in the bar to which I haven't heard of before. So if you have a dog you will be made welcome but if you have children you will not be made welcome, will not be using this bar again."

"Had booked a table of nine for teatime as we were 6 adults and 3 little ones. The occasion was a family birthday celebration and the staff were amazing. So helpful and friendly. We have a 3 year old granddaughter who is a coeliac sufferer and the young lady who helped us choose her food could not have done more to ensure the food they served to us was safe. This pub has a full separate menu from which you can choose gluten free food but she went one step further and individually went through the childrens menu to see if something could be chosen from there in a smaller portion. Amazing quality food at a good price but high quality customer service is a rarity in today’s society."

"Great public house. Went lunchtime was not very busy. Really clean pub staff very welcoming. Huge array of beers mine was exceptional. Took my dog and straight away staff bought her water and a treat. I would definitely recommend."

"Came in after football with friends , played fruit machine swallowed my money . Explained to the young Bartender that I lived in a different county and my train was imminent . Bartender refused to take my bank details to resolve your broken machine and consequently turned into a slanging Match with Manager who was not present on a Saturday night and me out of pocket £10 . Awful treatment for a problem Easily addressed"
