"The dear Frenny and Eduard (owners may even still be alive, This place is VERY SPECIAL ... VERY... You really should book a room for the weekend...Trust me your life adventure is about to begin, as you will be spending your days next door in Hinter Schmidruti (The SSSC centre and farm... The welcome here is genuinely HUMAN, and the food is sustanance, but although the accomadation is reasonably priced, the food is Swiss prices i.e. euro 10 for a soup. The owners are a virtual Joseph and Mary, the accomadation (if you can get it is basic but comfortable, food is of a good standard, your life is about to change..."

"Whilst doing a three month housesit in Beautiful Turbenthal, Switzerland, I discovered their local treasure...Ehriker Beck Restaurant and Bakery in the main street of this small village.Having experienced a total lack of good bakeries and patisseries in parts of USA and Canada, I was delighted to find this one.The display of the most delicious cakes and pastries takes your breath away. The breads, croussants and savoury goodies are a treat.Of course, I had to try their lattes, and Sandra and Anita really showed that they know how to make a perfect latte, with the coffee layers and lovely froth on top. There is always a delicious chocolate on your saucer.You can choose to have their 'small breakfast' with your choice of three croissants or tasty bread rolls with a plate of butter, jams and cheeses with your coffee, or you can have a larger breakfast.Many of the locals are regulars, which says a lot.At lunch time it is a busy little place with many delicious choices to make.Needless to say, Ehriker Beck has become my home away from home in Turbenthal."
