"Being a local i visit this place quite often (at least once a month) normally always for lunch. Great to sit outside enjoy the sun and the lovely view of the marina and the river with the replica of the Caravel that sailed with Vasco da Gama to India in the forefront. We always have fish (there are other dishes as well) but the speciality is grilled fish. Sardines, Cod (bacalhau), Sea Bream (dourada), Sea Bass (robalo), Brill (rodovalho), Squid (lulas), Octupus (polvo).....etc..etc... Try the Sea Bass rice, its simply delicious. Prices vary depending on the type of fish consumed (and if its sea fish or farm fish) . Short wine list. starters are normally pate and olives, desserts also limited........to sum it up, i go there for the fresh fish....."

"Good food and good service. The fish is really fresh and tasty. The deserts are really good also. The view over the sea is really spectacular. Only missing a less noisy environment to be perfect. For sure a place to return."

"Stumbled across this great restaurant, Guia! The food is amazing, had shrimp tacos and carrot cake. Will be coming back next with friends! Excited to try the Polvo! I highly recommend, the service was also amazing! Not to mention the incredible view!!!"

"Short walk from Verde hotel. Caters for large numbers,the food is good,with a good selection of meats and fish,i had the veal with a mushroom sauce it comes with rice and chips very good.They bring a selection of starters depending on number of people,if you eat them you pay if you don't then they will take them away no charge.But you will eat them it is like tapas in Spain Good choice of wines the local beer (super bock) Well worth a visit"

"This restaurant is to be avoided. It is boring, and not at all characteristic of a restaurant offering a genuine Portuguese cuisine experience. The decor is boring, the staff are boring and untrained and unprofessional, and the food is lousy. I had the worst meal I have had for years there. Surprisingly, some people local people from Vila do Conde, I presume seem to go there. But I have never seen the place full. There are other restaurants in Vila do Conde which are much better than this one so choose one of them."
