"The waitress was very nice and helpful!! We were in Portland to explore the area and were looking for food. Even though it was around closing time for the restaurant, she lets us order food and suggested some places that we could visit!!"

"I was taking a walk downtown and stumbled upon this shop. I though the window, and it looked so pretty that I had to stop inside. I didn’t get coffee, but I did get a Sparkling Maple Lemonade. Delicious wouldn’t give credit to how good and refreshing this drink was! I love the environment and can’t wait to go back on my next visit to Portland."

"We made an unplanned stop in Portland and looked for a good restaurant. We chose The King's Head based upon its menu and many beers on tap. Score! We ordered lamb Shepherds Pie and Fish and Chips. The shepherds pie was delicious, and the fish and chips were excellent a nice, light breading over flaky fresh fish. With a bit of help from a knowledgeable server, we found a local beer that complimented the food perfectly. Kudos!"

"Slab is a great place for casual dining and the food is great. The outdoor music series has been a lot of fun this summer. A little loud if you're at the table directly in front of the stage but still...better than average bands that aren't your run of the mill bar bands that seem to be everywhere else. I only have one criticism; ditch the wood sporks please. Ever try using one? They pull the lips off your face."

"Great food and decent coffee. Has a wonderful atmosphere as well. Everything is gluten free and what I had (breakfast cake) was outstanding. The thing holding my review back from 5 stars is the service. My girlfriend and I were looking at the spread and the girl behind the counter just glared at us impatiently. Never asked if she could help us or if we had any questions just made it feel like we needed to hurry up and make a decision. From other reviews this is something they need to work on. Their food is on point and I'd definitely recommend it for that. Some of the best gluten free options I've ever had!"
