"Gasthäuser in the countryside usually offer traditional Swiss food at fair prices. I stopped for lunch at Gasthaus Rössli, which proved an excellent choice. The dining room called Stübli is simple and nicely decorated, and quieter than the café side. A huge thumbs up to the tenant lady: smiling, attentive and efficient. It truly was Swiss hospitality at its best. During the lunch the chef also came out to greet the guests much appreciated gesture. As I visited late September the à la carte menu puts focus on venison dishes. As starter I chose the mixed salad with air dried venison sausage. Very tasty, quite generous portion. The main course was Rehpfeffer (kind of venison gulash) served with all the trimmings (red cabbage, homemade spaetzli). Again a generous portion, perfectly prepared and delicious. Fortunately I still had some room left for the refreshing Otti 's dessert vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce and warm chestnuts. For Swiss standards prices remain pleasantly fair, the bill amounted to CHF69. I am looking forward to visiting again."

"In dieser Woche wollte ich dem Löwen nochmals eine Chance geben, nachdem ich letztes Jahr schon mal dort gegessen haben. Service war unmotiviert und es dauerte seine Zeit bis wir überhaupt bedient wurden obwohl nur eine handvoll Leute im Restaurant waren. Nach einer gefühlten Ewigkeit bekamen wir schliesslich unser Essen das aber nicht mal richtig warm war. Die Spargeln verkocht und das Fleisch war, naja. Fazit: Für den Preis gibt es bessere Restaurants in der Region, in Zukunft werden wir den Löwen meiden"

"In the past, we were more often at the buume, because we were closer to traffic, after which I simply have to say: we have to do so or so again.We were a bigger group of people who go to eat together.The garden is just very nice to stay. we were a bit under the lukewarm, which radiates a beautiful private character, attention was placed on every 2nd chair a cuddly blanket when it should be fresh, ingenious!The service very courtesy and attentive, the chef personally takes the food on with possible special wishes and all explanations. eating was simply divine from A-Z, fresh - seasonal - perfectly dressed, each gang top!It is not cheap, but the performance justifies the price absolutely! If only a great compliment express, gastronomy should always be."
