"My family and I used to love this Panera Bread location, and when we lived closer we ate there regularly. It had been years since I ate there so I decided while shopping around in town to stop by with my husband and kids. Extremely disappointed! Frontega chicken sandwich was all tomato and bread, barely any chicken in it, and was so sloppy and dripping nonstop. They were out of half the soups, and pastries that were left like the cookies and bear claws had flies sitting on them. Then we went to use the soda machine and not only was the Dr. Pepper coming out almost clear, but the Ginger Ale tasted like straight syrup. We used to love going there when it was managed by David/ April/ Danielle. Now it seems like both the food quality and the upkeep of the restaurant has really gone downhill. Will not be returning to this location."

"My first time coming here was a few weeks ago, meaning that I had the COVID experience when I arrived. We had our temperature checked upon arrival and had the option of indoor or outdoor seating. My family and I had initially decided on outdoor seating but it was so windy we decided it would be better to go inside. While inside, we were more than 6 ft from any other table and our waitress wore a mask the whole time she served us. The food was amazing and all for a very fair price. I felt very safe eating here and I will definitely be back!"

"We were in Newport for the fourth year in a row yet somehow this is the first time we experienced Tokyo House. I think it has to do with my love of sushi and wanting to eat fish during our stay, and the fact that the restaurant was a short walk from The Henry Collins Inn we were staying in. The first time we ordered takeout sushi, and it was excellent. The second night we went to the place and had hibachi salmon and red snapper. The service is good and unobtrusive, the food is delicious. I told the inn proprietress to send people to Tokyo House should they ask for a good place to eat. Thank you, we were satisfied!"
