The food at this restaurant is excellent, especially during lunchtime. We tried the chicken laksa and charkway teow, and both dishes were fantastic! This place is a hidden gem and we were pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend paying them a visit. View all feedback.
What Jonas Morar doesn't like about Uncle Jim Malaysian Kitchen:
Good everyday Malaysian/Singaporean restaurant in Northern Beaches. Fast service and convenient location. Love their crispy prawn but a bit pricey for their Hainanese Chicken Rice is tasty but shame that the rice is not included and it's served without ginger condiment and soup on the side.. I am looking forward to trying onkel jim, ordered take-away-Rind-Rendang stir fry veg in sambal. the first disappointment, the bark was hard, which is a cardinal sin with rendang. then I pulled out of the rendang two very long hairs. first mouthful of veg stir fry I bit in a bit very hard (a rock I suspect) which then scattered into a million pieces, very happy, no teeth to damage. at this time I had lost my appetit and fed everything in the müll. all in all a very bad experience.
