Uncle Jim Malaysian Kitchen - Mosman

I am looking forward to trying onkel jim, ordered take-away-Rind-Rendang stir fry veg in sambal. the first disappointment, the bark was hard, which is a cardinal sin with rendang. then I pulled out of the rendang two very long hairs. first mouthful of veg stir fry I bit in a bit very hard (a rock I suspect) which then scattered into a million pieces, very happy, no teeth to damage. at this time I had lost my appetit and fed everything in the müll. all in all a very bad experience.

Good everyday Malaysian/singaporean restaurant in northern beaches. faster service and convenient location. love their crispy garnel, but a bit expensive 18 for 4pcs) their hainanese chicken rice is tasty, but shame that the rice is not included and it is served without ginger condition and suppe on the side.

The food at this restaurant is excellent, especially during lunchtime. We tried the chicken laksa and charkway teow, and both dishes were fantastic! This place is a hidden gem and we were pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend paying them a visit.

Excellent laksa and great value. Service very friendly too. Will be back.
