"Overall a pleasant Sunday afternoon in the Pelican Inn. Our food order was not taken to the kitchen, which we found out after we followed up on our food (after 40 minutes), many apologies and a free round of drinks and our order had been taken again, with the food following within 10 minutes. A very tasty Sunday roast (one lamb, one beef), with lots of great veggies, both myself and my son enjoyed all!! A warm atmosphere and fresh lager topped off our afternoon."

"Not a regular at the pub. The staff were really not that friendly. To be blunt found them quite stuck up. A smile would be great. The food average. Presentation was excellent. However the crispy rabbit was really bland, Devon crab cake over salty. Didn't taste the Fricasse but my burger was juicy but the cheese used was over powering and the brioche bun slightly stale. Not somewhere I would rush back to despite the gorgeous setting"

"Love this spot. Especially if you walk here through the surrounding countryside. It is in the small village of Inkpen, and has a great farm shop attached, which is open and strange hours. Great decor and is a cosy, idiosyncratic pub."
