We went there for lunch today and we had Finnish Pancakes with blueberries and whipped cream. They were delicious. It was my first time having Finnish Pancakes and I loved them. It definitely won't be the last. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kangas Sauna:
You can enjoy brekky and a steam bath. I never did. I mean, I enjoyed only the breakfast. My happy ending at this sauna massage spa restaurant was with the lovely Finnish flat pancakes. I'd call them fat flat crepes. Some staff were nice. View all feedback.
Came here for breakfast after hearing that Finnish Pancakes or Hoito are a local favorite. The food was delicious and well priced, and the service excellent! Would have stayed for a round at the sauna if we 'd had more time!
Went in on Pancake Tuesday for my first Kangas visit. More than lived up to the hype. Service was prompt and friendly while the food was just perfect. Bacon? Perfect. Sausages? Perfect. Pancakes? Extra perfect. A member of my party said the eggs Benedict were also perfect. Dirty dishes were removed quickly from the table and our server was quick to offer refills and get the bill.
Best Finn pancakes in town! I came back after 8 years and was looking for Hoito or Scan House. Both are closed now and it worried me that their might not be a good place for Finn Pancakes. I WAS WRONG. Kangas Sauna Finn Pancakes are better than both of those places. My new favorite breakfast spot is now Kangas :
It's my first and I'm really amazed, service is good and very courteous too.. happy that we try.. Food is sooo yummy! pretty busy, but we enjoyed our time here..
Hands down the best Finn pancakes in town. A must do every single trip back to Thunder Bay. A huge assortment of ready made foods and beautiful sauna facilities. Gift certificates make perfect gifts for those hard to shop for. The service and the owners rock.
